A little tears never hurt...

Some days are just meant for tears. Not the sobbing, "I did my best" kind, but the somber, I wish things were different kind.

Between all that's been going on in our nation this week and another new found food allergy for Lil' Miss...it just feels good to let a tear fall down my face. To release the pain in my heart and mind. To feel sad for people losing and fighting for their lives and to protect mine. (Or because strawberries can cause such havoc!) ;(

My prayer for today...that we, pull together as a "family" to cry, to be sad for our losses and troubles, but mostly to gain strength and support from each other. Cry, pray, and be together to relieve your pain and stress, because you haven't in a while, because your friends amd family need you, because it helps.

Pray and cry with me, won't you?

Hi!

Where has life gone these last few weeks?

Here's a couple of thoughts...

We got our weekly car wash.

Lil' Miss doesn't like the car wash.

Had our oil changed while eating (or foaming) chocolate ice cream.

I started the Insanity DVD series...again...IT IS SOOOO SUPER HARD!!

My post-workout face!

We've been going to the gym a couple days a week.  On Monday, I found these little "gems" in the gym parking lot...hmmm either a celebration of a great workout OR someone has to booze-it-up just to get through the workout.  Either way, let's not litter, OK?  OK.

Oh, and let's not forget baseball.  LOTS AND LOTS OF BASEBALL!!

Happy National Siblings Day

My brother and sister will tell you that I'm ALWAYS late. In fact, its a joke in our family that you tell me a different time than you really want me there just so I show up at the right time. So, it will come as no surprise to them that I'm writing this post with only 3 hours left. :)

I digress..

You'all might think you have the best siblings in the world (and in your world you're probably right) but in my world, I have THE BEST brother and sister EVER. PERIOD.

They both exemplify kindness, patience, love,  honesty and generosity. I am so proud of who they have become.

As kids we we're, like most siblings, at each other's throats a lot of the time. Yet as an adult,  I often find myself missing their company and wishing they didn't have to live in a different home. 

So, to my favorite brother Steve and favorite sister Cassie:
