Our Gaggle

Of course, minus the day I married Daddy Goose, the happiest two days of my life have been when I first laid eyes on Brother Goose (4) and Lil' Miss Goose (1 year).  They are the most amazing children I've ever had the privilege of knowing.  They make me smile in my darkest of hours and make me cry  (for all sorts of reasons) when I least expect it.  I know every momma and daddy says this about their little ones, but really, they are our everything!

Daddy Goose and I have lived in the same small town almost our whole lives and actually grew up two houses away from each other.  It was (and still is) a fun girl/boy next door story.

Daddy Goose is a UPS driver.  He works anywhere between 8-14 hours a day.  "Brown" does a lot for us, but we don't always enjoy the hours.  Daddy Goose is one of those men that can do anything.  I sometimes whine about all the "stuff" we have in the garage, but I tell 'ya anytime I need something made, fixed or rigged, Daddy Goose can go out into the garage and a while later, it's done!  So, most of the time I keep my whining to myself.

I was one of those students that took the long way around.  After 10 years, a couple of different majors, three schools and a few reality checks, I finally finished my degree in 2005.  I attained a business degree with an emphasis in Human Resources.  Directly after college I went to work for a consulting firm, where I stayed until changing careers to THE BEST JOB EVER, full-time stay at home momma.

After much deliberation, I decided a hobby was in order.  Since the age of 16, I've had a job. I've done everything from babysitting to serving/bartending to working in the Human Resource field.  Until...(dun-tun-dun) KIDS!

However, I am a worker.  There are always dishes to be done, laundry and there is always, always, always something to be picked up off the floor.  But, I deserve more than that.  I deserve something that I can look forward to after my goslings are done cuddling, something productive to do while Daddy Goose put his feet up after a long, hard day, and something I can feel proud of above and beyond my inside-the-home job.  And thus, a momma's diary of a crazy, amazing life was born!

I'm excited to share and learn through this experience.  I hope you are too!
